About The Artist
John Rula is a Waterloo based artist whose body of work has been in the making for over 30 years. Until recently, this pristine and comprehensive collection has remained largely inaccessible to collectors. The art represents a man’s journey reflecting the battles, pain and joy that happened along the way.
Extensive cataloging and documentation has been a requisite prior to making the collection available and a key element in preserving the integrity of Rula’s story. With the completion of the archival work behind him, Rula is now ready to share his journey with the world. Much like the work of iconic contemporary artists such as Robert Rauchenburg, Wassily Kandinsky and Cy Twombly, Rula’s art comes complete with a variety of series, periods and styles making the work versatile and widely accessible.
“Through my work I strive to create a sense that enlightens and inspires the viewer to imagine things fantastic and wonderful. I believe the purpose of art is to lift the spirit and instill a positive experience. For me, painting is a living expression of the infinite potential of all things.”
